Training Days 4 and 5 - Yarmouth, Norwich, Lowestoft and The Broads - 29/30 May 2010 - Photos
A weekend away in Norfolk for our final team training trip, to make sure we know what we've gotten ourselves into!
Another 9am start for our first day, which would take us on a one hundred mile trip starting in Great Yarmouth, around the Norfolk Broads, and into Norwich.
It ended up being quite cold, rainy and generally quite miserable for most of the afternoon, but we have to be prepared for all four seasons it seems. We also got a bit of practice at replacing inner tubes in the rain. Quite a few firsts on this trip, and we crowned a new Captain Slow, who shall remain nameless.
No trip to the east of England would be complete without a visit to the home of the Canaries!
With a few slightly sore knees, we set off for day 2, a fifty-five mile trip along the coast, to Southwold (a lovely little seaside town) and Lowestoft (a not quite so lovely little seaside town) to the most easterly point of the British mainland, which will mean that aftor the final trip, we will have visited the most southerly, easterly and northerly points.
Special thanks goes to the Knights ladies, who had a stunning roast Sunday dinner ready for us on our return! We all woke up the next day feeling quite intact, which bodes well. Land's End to John O'Groats? Bring it on!
